The slide (1) has a duromer sandwich structure, and is formed from cover layers consisting of a glass fibre-reinforced phenol resin and limiting a hexagonal honeycomb core. It is provided with a fire-preventing coating, which is intumescent and foams when fire occurs. The rails (2) are formed from a glass fibre-reinforced duroplastic. The slide is provided with an automatic release, by which a fire-preventing position can be automatically adjusted in the event of fire. This automatic release is formed as a thermoplastic stop device. The thermoplastic material softens at 150 to 200 deg.C. ADVANTAGE - Improves fire resistance in an aircraft.
