PURPOSE: A method for assigning an expanding Hadamard code in a CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) communication system is provided to optimally search the expanding Hadamard code by not using an expanding Hadamard cod in which orthogonality is broken. CONSTITUTION: A degree of an expanding Hadamard code for providing a current service is determined(S1). A random expanding Hadamard code is selected and assigned among Hadamard codes with the determined degree from an expanding Hadamard code table(S2). It is confirmed whether the expanding Hadamard codes corresponding to double of the determined degree are assigned with reference to the assigned expanding Hadamard code(S3). If the expanding Hadamard codes corresponding to double of the determined degree are not assigned, it is confirmed whether the expanding Hadamard codes corresponding to a residual(%) operation value of the determined degree are assigned with reference to the assigned expanding Hadamard code(S4). If the expanding Hadamard codes corresponding to the residual(%) operation value of the determined degree are not assigned, the expanding Hadamard codes corresponding to the double of the degree in which no-assignment state is confirmed and the expanding Hadamard codes corresponding to the residual(%) operation value of the degree are blocked not to be used(S5). |
