PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high alumina brick for ladles for the high alloy steel and a producing method improving the carbon pickup problem and profitable for improvement to high qualities of the high alloy steel represented by stainless steel, etc. SOLUTION: The high alumina brick 3 for ladles of the high alloy steel contains at least 40-98 wt.% alumina and 0.1-1.4 wt.% metal aluminum, and the refractory without containing carbonaceous starting material contains together resin binders having thermosetting property of 0.5-4 wt.% in the outer product and is not calcined.
