The pressure sensor has a pair of opposing connections (9,10) for applying pressure to an internal sensor module (3), providing an electrical output signal corresponding to the applied force. Each connection has a forked arm (1,2) with the ends of the forks engaging the sensor module at 90 degrees to one another, with a pressure block (4,5) between each fork arm and the force input surface of the sensor module.
