The damper (5a) includes an opening and a flap (4d) which is operated by a player. A damping unit which generates a damping force against the flap has static and moving parts. The damping unit generates a small damping force for relative motion of the parts in one direction and a large force for relative motion in the opposite direction. The connecting mechanism is located between flap and damping unit and acts as a changeover mechanism. The mechanism changes the damping unit between relative motion in one direction to relative motion in the opposite direction at an intermediate flap position on the path from closed to open position and vice versa.
