The invention concerns a can (2) for liquid foodstuffs comprising a cylindrical body (1) one end of which at least is sealingly closed by a lid (8) mounted on the corresponding edge of the cylindrical body, with a space provided between this lid and a wall (10) at least partially permeable to said liquid foodstuffs, but impermeable to substances which can affect their properties, such as micro-organisms, in particular yeast, contained in this space, this wall extending between the lid and the cylindrical body for containing these liquid foodstuffs, means being provided for pouring these foods or for drinking them directly from the can without having to open the lid.
