PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a starting switch device for automatic door that transmits a signal for opening an automatic door by radio when someone touches the device and also a signal detecting a passenger approaching the door when the door is in an opened or closed state without erroneous detection and is reduced in power consumption. SOLUTION: A touch switch 22 is installed to the surface of the automatic door 14 which is slidingly opened and closed and a receiver 20 receives a radio signal transmitted from a transmitting section 32 incorporated in the switch 22 and outputs a door starting signal for opening or closing the door 14. Heat ray switches 28a and 28b which detect infrared radiant energy from an object are installed to the side sections of the switch 22 and the transmitting section 32 outputs the radio signal in response to the detecting signals of the switches 28a and 28b or the operating signal of the switch 22. |
