PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove an electric charge stored on an intermediate transfer body, not for causing unevenness. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a toner image carrier B having a toner image formed on the rotationally moving surface, a destaticization roll 31 which is arranged in a part nearer to the downstream side than a transferring position Q4 in the rotationally moving direction of the surface of the toner image carrier B, provided with a conductive core material having a cylindrical outside surface and a cylindrical elastic layer which is stuck to the cylindrical outside surface of the core material, provided that when the volume resistivity of a semiconductive surface layer is defined as R1 (Ωcm) and the volume resistivity of a semiconductive substrate is defined as R2 (Ωcm), the relation between R1 and R2 is set to be R1>R2, and brought into press-contract with the surface of the toner image carrier B, to form a nip as the press-contact region and a voltage applying device 32 for applying a voltage to the destaticization roll 31, to destaticize the toner image carrier B after the toner image is transferred onto a recording sheet S. |
