THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDING MEDIUM AND METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME

A thermal transfer recording medium which not only has satisfactory resistance to oil even immediately after printing, but also can be transferred to any type of the object to be printed. The thermal transfer recording medium is the one which is prepared by providing a substrate and forming a release layer and an ink layer in this sequence on the substrate, wherein the ink layer comprises (A) a colorant, (B) a curing agent and (C) a binding resin. The ink layer is formed on the substrate through curing, for example, by heating. The ink layer comprises (b) an isocyanate compound and (c) a vinyl chloride-based resin being capable of reacting with the isocyanate compound.
