PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance deburring work by making the number of oscillations (velocity) variable, and also making the number of oscillations applied to a workpiece constant corresponding to the speed of a conveyor. SOLUTION: A workpiece W of a tabular shape is carried by a conveyor device 3. The reciprocating movement of a grinding wheel 29 in the direction roughly normal to the carrying direction of the workpiece W by means of an oscillation mechanism 33 upon rotation of the grinding wheel, thereby allows the workpiece W to be carried, to be deburred. At this time, since the oscillation speed is automatically made variable by means of a controller 23 in such a way that the number of oscillations applied to the workpiece W is kept constant in accordance with change in feeding speed of the conveyor device 3, the workpiece W to be carried by the conveyor 3 can efficiently be deburred in a favorably condition while an optimum oscillation locus is being described.
