PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrying device which is simple in constitution and capable of transferring a carried-in work to be carried in a short time without dragging it onto the carriage position with respect to a receiving means arranged across a specified carriage position. SOLUTION: The carrying device 1 comprises a supporting means 10 which is provided with a carrier plate 3 in a transferring manner with respect to an unloader and supports the carrier plate 3 in a detachable manner, a carrying direction moving means 11 to move the supporting means 10 to support the carrier plate 3 along the carrying direction, an elevating/lowering means to elevate/lower the supporting means 10 between the floating position at which the carrier plate 3 is supported in a floating condition with a specified distance from a surface 2a of a press plate 2 and a detachment position at which the carrier plate is placed on the surface 2a of the press plate 2 and detached from the supporting condition, and a transferring means 13 to move the carrier plate 3 to the unloader from the supporting means 10.
