PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic fine wire producing apparatus which can produce the metallic fine wire with a melt-extracting method without being obstructed with scale. SOLUTION: This metallic fine wire producing apparatus 10 is provided with a holder 15 for holding a bar-like metallic material 13, a high frequency induction coil 16 for forming molten metal 13a by melting the upper end part of the metallic material 13, a disk 18 to be rotation-driven and a descaler device 50. The molten metal 13a is brought into contact with the peripheral edge part 19 of the disk 18 to be rotated in the fixed direction and quenched and also, flown into the tangential direction of the peripheral edge part 19 to form the metallic fine wire 12. the descaler device 50 is provided with a descaler body 51 made of ceramics, etc., and arranged at the reverse side of the flying direction of the metallic fine wire 12. The descaler body 51 can be advanced/ retreated from the horizontal direction to the molten metal 31a so that the scale generated on the surface of the molten metal 13a is removed.
