<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and flexibly set an ATM cell in the unit of AAL frames in response to information in a received packet or a communication state of an ATM network. SOLUTION: A cell generating circuit divides a received packet into one ATM cell or over, cell header setting sections 12-1-12-n reference a specific field in a packet included in each ATM cell divided by the cell generating circuit in the unit of AAL frames and sets a value of a specific field in the ATM cell header corresponding to a value of the specific field in the packet to the specific field in each ATM cell header corresponding to the specific field in the packet in the unit of AAL frames.</p> |
