PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frame for protecting a face of slope, capable of stabilizing the face of slope in a condition close to the natural environment, being easy to construct, and reducing the costs of materials and construction work, and a frame base for constructing it. SOLUTION: The frame base for the frame for protecting a face of slope includes a long frame portion formed of dry plants, and connections provided integrally with both axial ends of the frame portion to enable the plurality of frame bases to be interconnected. The frame for protecting a face of slope uses the frame base.
