PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that many reports on derailments of trains say that the derailment results from the multiple accidents and do not mention the basic structural defects. SOLUTION: It is said that derailment accidents are concentrated in an outlet of a curve section having a small radius of a curve. This results from that cant smoothing is performed according to a clothoid curve due to the geometrical structure standard of a track. In the case of a long vehicle, when a rear wheels have the maximum cant in a curve section, front wheels have no cant in a straight part. Consequently, the vehicle are supported by two points of the rear wheels and one point of the front wheel inside, three points in total, so that the front wheel outside is uplifted. In this case, structurally, there is the possibility of derailing of the wheel. In order to secure safety, structural measurement is to be taken to prevent a derailment in any situation. The cant smoothing position is (1) to be shifted to the straight section having no fear of derailment, or (2) the cant smoothing section in extended to the straight part to sufficiently reduce the change rate.
