PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a precoated steel sheet excellent in press formability which can be formed and worked without causing the breakage and the peeling of a coating film even when drawing. SOLUTION: In this precoated steel sheet excellent in press formability, at least one side of a steel sheet subjected to chemical conversion treatment or a plated steel sheet is provided with a thermosetting organic resin coating film of which the minimum value of the dynamic storage modulus in a rubber elastic region is <=2×107 Pa. In the case the thermosetting organic resin coating film is composed of two layers, the minimum value of the dynamic storage modulus in the rubber elastic region is controlled to <=2×107 Pa as for one or more layers. Preferably, the thermosetting organic resin coating film is formed of a polyester resin and a melamine resin, and further, the base of the thermosetting organic resin coating film is subjected to Ni surface control as well.
