LIGHTING SYSTEM FOR COMMODITIES DISPLAY RACK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conspicuously accentuate a commodities display rack and commodities. SOLUTION: In this lighting system, a lighting body 37 is disposed inside a translucent case 36 covering the front end of a rack part 2 downward from the front end upper side of the rack part 2 and bulging out in a cross-sectionally arc shape such that the translucent case 36 opens toward the rear of the rack part 2 on the front end lower side of the rack part 2. Both sides of the translucent case 36 are installed with circular or elliptic side plates 43 along the bulging cross-sectionally arc shape. Thereby, the translucence case 36 applies illumination light from the front end of the rack part 2 such that the illumination light largely broadens outward. Accordingly, the illumination light is felt to be lighter to conspicuously accentuate the displayed commodities. The translucent case 36 appears that the translucent case 36 is provided along a right-and- left width direction of the front end of the rack part 2 as a cylinder or a cylindroid, by the side plates 43 installed on both the right and left sides of the translucent case 36, to conspicuously accentuate the whole commodities display rack.
