PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricating oil composition for variable speed transmissions in which high frictional coefficient between metals required for push belt type CVT oil is compatible with excellent abrasion preventing property to belt and pulley. SOLUTION: This lubricating oil composition for variable speed transmissions is characterized by compounding a lubricating oil base oil composed of a mineral oil and/or synthetic oil with (A) at least one kind of phosphates or phosphites, (B) at least one kind of thiophosphates or thiophosphites and (C) a polyamine compound and optionally further (D) an olefin copolymer.
