METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING POLISHED MATTER HOLDING MEMBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the bonding strength of a buffer member in manufacturing a metallic polished matter holding member having the buffer member formed by coating a hole edge face for holding the polished matter, with plastic. SOLUTION: A metallic disc 1 having teeth 11 on its periphery and having a hole 12 inside is prepared. The metallic disc 1 is held from its both sides by plastic sheets 2 having an outside dimension larger than that of the metallic disc 1 (a). The structural body (a) is held by mirror-finished plates and charged into a press heating plate to be thermally pressed and molded, whereby the metallic disc 1 and the plastic sheets 2 are integrated (b). The shape of the integrated body (b) is finished along the teeth 11 and the hole 12 of the metallic disc 1. The finishing of the shape is executed at the outside with respect to an outline of the metallic disc 1, so that the molded plastic is remained in a state of covering end faces of the teeth and the hole of the metallic disc 1 (c). The plastic sheet 2 does not include a flame retarder, and is preferably flammable.
