<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of electrical continuity among light shielding layers, transparent electrode layers or adjacent transparent electrode layers in a color filter, in which the light shielding layers are formed at the peripheral region on a substrate. <P>SOLUTION: The color filter has the substrate, colored layers which are formed into a pattern shape on the substrate, light shielding layers which are formed between the colored layers and the peripheral region on the substrate and the transparent electrode layers which are formed on the colored layers and the light shielding layers in a pattern shape. The light shielding layers formed on the peripheral region on the substrate have a protective layer not-formed region in which protective layers between the colored layers and the transparent electrode layers are not formed. The electrode taking-out sections of the transparent electrode layers formed on the light shielding layers formed on the peripheral region of the substrate are electrically insulated to the light shielding layers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
