SWITCHABLE MULTIWAVELENGTH ERBIUM-DOPED FIBER LASER GENERATOR

A switchable multi-wavelength erbium-doped fiber laser generator is provided to output a laser with switching at multiple wavelengths by regulating the loss of a resonator through a modulator. In a switchable multi-wavelength erbium-doped fiber laser generator, an erbium-doped fiber(40) receives pumping light of a predetermined wavelength and amplifies an optical signal. A first laser resonator has a first optical fiber grid(30) of a predetermined reflectivity formed at one side and a first optical fiber mirror(80) of low reflectivity formed on the other side, with the erbium-doped fiber interposed therebetween, and oscillates an optical signal at a first wavelength. A second laser resonator comprises a second optical fiber mirror(100) of high reflectivity disposed in the rear side of the first optical fiber grid and a second optical fiber grid(70) of reflectivity different from that of the first optical fiber grid disposed in the front side of the first optical fiber mirror, with the erbium-doped fiber interposed therebetween, and oscillates an optical signal at a second wavelength. A modulator(90) is interposed between the first optical fiber grid and the second optical fiber mirror of the high reflectivity to transmit or cut off an optical signal to/from the second optical fiber mirror.
