An accumulator for an air conditioner is provided to form the accumulator in a dual structure with inner and outer walls for improving warmth-keeping and insulating properties, thereby reducing generation of liquid refrigerant. An accumulator for an air conditioner includes an inner wall(111) forming a space for introducing refrigerant after circulation of a cooling/heating cycle, an outer wall(112) surrounding the inner wall, a medium(140), such as water or other liquid substance, filled in an empty space between the inner and the outer walls, and a heater inserted through a side of the outer wall and wound on the outer surface of the inner wall for heating the medium.
