PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accessory for an external facing panel, which hardly brings about the conspicuousness of dirt and rust, caused by the discharge of rainwater from a weep hole of the accessory for the external facing panel. SOLUTION: This accessory 25 for the external facing panel, which is constituted by making first and second vertical materials 25a and 25c connected together by means of a horizontal material 25b, is mounted on an exterior wall body 22 via furring strips 26 in such a manner as to cover a lower end 23a of the external facing panel 23. A drainage portion 30 is formed on the undersurface side of the horizontal material 25b. In the drainage portion 30, the weep hole 40 is covered with a cover material 41 from the undersurface side of the horizontal material 25b, and an opening 42 is provided toward the exterior wall body 22 in the cover material 41. In a method for forming the accessory, an approximately-rectangular weep-hole forming area 40a is secured in the horizontal material 25b; the long side L1, on the side of the exterior wall body 22, of the weep-hole forming area 40a is cut, and pushed downward while another long side L2 is bent; the weep hole 40 is formed by curving short sides L3 and L4; and the curved cover material 41 is integrally formed.
