PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the effect of vibration from a drive wire, by devising a fixing structure for a heat dissipation member.SOLUTION: An image reader comprises: a light source unit 140 that radiates light from a light emitting element, mounted on a substrate 147, to a body to which light is to be radiated; a scanning base 145 on which the light source unit 140 is mounted; and a traction member 45a fixed to the scanning base 145 and configured to move the scanning base in a sub-scanning direction X. A heat dissipation member 149 abutting on a base plate 147 is fixed to the scanning base 145. The heat dissipation member 149 comprises a first heat dissipation part 149a arranged in parallel with a main scanning direction Y, and a second heat dissipation part 149b arranged in parallel with the sub-scanning direction X. The first heat dissipation part 149a is disposed further from a fixing part 21a where the traction member 45a is fixed to the scanning base 145. The second heat dissipation part 149b is disposed nearer to the fixing part 21a. The first heat dissipation part 149a is fastened and fixed by a fastening member and the second heat dissipation part 149b is fixed in contact with an elastic member 175.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9 |
