PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create a cutting unit which is easily manufactured.SOLUTION: Cutting units 2 and 2' for stripping insulation from cables in an insulation stripping station 1 comprise base main bodies 4 and knife holding bodies 8 and 9 which are fixed to the base main bodies 4, for holding insulation stripping knives 5, 15, 6 and 16. The knife holding bodies 8 and 9 are firmly adhered to the base main bodies 4 by using an epoxy resin adhesive, such that the insulation stripping knives 5, 15, 6 and 16 are electrically insulated from the base main bodies 4. The insulation stripping knives 5, 15, 6 and 16 are screwed with the knife holding bodies 8 and 9. In order to read an electric signal for detecting contact with a conductor, the cutting units 2 and 2' comprise printed circuit boards 14 which are electrically connected with the knife holding bodies 8 and 9 by contact screws 17.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
