CONSTITUTION: A sheet edge seal member 10 comprises a first engaging member 12 and a second engaging member 14, which is used for a subirrigation system (100) comprising a water barrier sheet 50 which is formed into a groove shape having an upper opening and embedded in a cultivation field (102) and perforated pipe 52 inserted into the water barrier sheet. The first engaging member comprises a dam part 22 and a first fitting part 20 projecting from a peripheral part of the dam part. The second engaging member sandwiches and fixes an end part of the water barrier sheet together with the first fitting part therebetween in a waterproof manner.EFFECT: Since an end part of the water barrier sheet is sealed pertinently, undesired leakage of water from the end part of the water barrier sheet is prevented.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
