The surface of this polyphenylene sulfide porous body includes porous regions having a porous structure and non-porous regions substantially not having a porous structure. This novel polyphenylene sulfide porous body has heat resistance and chemical resistance, and eliminates the tradeoff between mechanical characteristics and permeability performance.
