The present invention relates to a wheel assembly for a robot, which is mounted in the front side and the rear side of the robot to rotate by power of the robot by being supported by the ground surface and to drive the robot and which comprises: a wheel disc fixated on a drive shaft of the robot to rotate along with the drive shaft and to provide rotational power; a plurality of divided wheels combined with a circumference of the wheel disc to rotate along with the wheel disc as an outer circumferential surface comes in contact with the ground surface, to be formed in the shape of a circular arc, and combined to form a circular wheel or to be divided and distanced to extend the radius of rotation; and an extending connector to connect each of the divided wheels to the wheel disc and to allow the radius of rotation of the divided wheels to be extended by the rotational power of the wheel disc as a part of the divided wheels is hung on the ground surface. According to the present invention, the divided wheels in the shape of a circular arc are combined with the wheel disc to be extendable and the radius of rotation is extended by the rotational power of the wheel disc. Therefore, even when the robot is hung on an obstacle on a rough road, the robot is able to easily escape from the obstacle by extending the radius of rotation of the divided wheels. |
