PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vessel having a lock mechanism for an openable cover having improved operability, by releasing the locking between first and second engaging parts in closing the cover without requiring proper pressure of the engaging parts. SOLUTION: This vessel comprises a vessel body 11 having a catch pan 13 for storing contents, a cover 12 openably supported on the body 11, and a lock mechanism for preventing undesired opening between the vessel body 11 and the cover 12. The lock mechanism comprises a slide piece 15 disposed in a space 14 formed between an outer wall's inner surface 11f and the opposite face 13f of the catch pan. The cover 12 is provided with a hook part 16, the piece 15 is provided with a hook engaging part 17, and elastic members E1 and E2 are disposed substantially symmetrically in relation to the center O of the engaging part 17 between the piece 15 and the opposite face 13f. The elastic members E1 and E2 elastically support the piece 15 so that a part 15p of the piece is exposed from the body 11 with a predetermined exposed length L1. |
