<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To scramble a transport stream specified by an MPEG 2 for each packet stipulated in a simple processing, without impairing real-time performance. SOLUTION: Scrambled pattern data, necessary for executing scramble processing to a transport stream for each packet, are preliminarily registered in a scramble pattern table 141 of a scrambler 14, and at the starting of scrambling, a label is transmitted from a scramble controller 13 to a scrambler 14. Then, the scrambler 14 reads the scrambled pattern data, corresponding to the received label from the scrambled pattern table 141, and executes the scramble processing to the transport stream for each packet in accordance with the scrambled pattern data.</p> |
