The present invention relates to a method for increasing a mass transfer coefficient for methane in water using a mesoporous substance, and to an application thereof. According to the present invention, by using the composition or the method using the mesoporous substance which increases the mass transfer coefficient for the methane in water, it is possible to safely transport methane, and the methane can be used as a culture fluid in a methanol culture process, after efficiently capturing methane from water.
