PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance productivity by improving image forming efficiency. SOLUTION: Image information outputted from an image reading part is stored in an image memory, and color image forming operation is performed by an image processing part equipped with an intermediate transfer body based on the stored image information. In such a case, the image processing part is driven and controlled by triggering a write-in start enable signal, and the image information stored in the image memory is read out every time the belt mark of the intermediate transfer body is detected, and the forming operation of a color image to be transferred to the intermediate transfer body is performed for every color. By referring to an image reading condition by the image reading part, the output timing of the write-in start enable signal is controlled so as to perform the image reading operation and image forming operation for a first color concurrently on a condition that a read-out line from the image memory does not overtake a write-in line in the image memory. The driving source of the intermediate transfer body is driven and controlled and the belt mark provided on the intermediate transfer body is detected immediately after the write-in start enable signal is outputted. |
