Plastics handrail of e.g. P.V.C. for bar counters, stair railings etc. has a lateral support rail for the lower arm on the side near the user. Pref., the arm support rail has a concave upper surface conforming to the arm profile. The rail is attached to a retaining rail by two nose portions and offers improved support.
