Wooden beam constructed from wood chips adhesive bonded under pressure, comprising three superimposed layers extending over the whole length, the two outer layers consisting predominantly of chips having their fibres mainly oriented in the axial direction of the beam and a central layer in which the major portion of the chips have their fibres oriented in the vertical plane of the beam.
