Building material is mfd. from fly ash opt. admixed with minerals, by heating to a high temp. so the material is turned into stone. The fly ash may be moistened, esp. with water, prior to heating to a high temp. The fly ash, or its mixt. with minerals, is pref. heated to above 950 degrees C, so ceramic bonding occurs.Fly ash may be obtd. in large quantities from coal burning power stations, and is collected in filters.
