PURPOSE:To provide a coolant for a projection cathode ray tube excellent in stability, heat resistance, light-proof and corrosion resistance with a low melting point, low boiling point and low viscosity by specifying ratio of compounding monoethylene glycol and diethylene glycol. CONSTITUTION:By mixing 60 to 40wt.% monoethylene glycol in 40 to 6Owt.% diethylene glycol, and further as necessary by mixing 2ppm to 10% metal corrosion preventing agent, a coolant for a projection cathode ray tube is obtained. In this coolant, no water is contained while in low viscosity, and a handling property is improved with a refraction index near glass to provide a high igniting point with no toxicity. |
