PURPOSE: An apparatus for mechanically bonding a pair of strips is provided which is capable of bonding a pair of the strips without requirement of additional supplying of materials or processes by forming a shape of the bonding part in a reverse tapered shape. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for mechanically bonding a pair of strips comprises a cylindrical first punch(150) one end of which is opened, and which is adhered onto the center inside a cylindrical case(100); an elastic means which is inserted between an outer circumference of the first punch(150) and an inner circumference of the case(100) so as to support moving of the case(100); a blank holder(300) one surface of which is closely adhered onto a coil spring, which is formed in a disc shape having a certain thickness, and into a hole formed in the center of which the first punch(150) is inserted; dies(400) which are positioned at the lower part of the blank holder(300), and in the center of which a through hole(420) is formed, wherein the upper part of the through hole(420) is tapered in a "V" shape, and a cylindrical catching groove(430) is formed at the middle region of the lower part of the through hole(420) so that the dies(400) are divided into two parts in a length direction; a second punch(500) which is built-in the through hole(420), the upper part of which is formed in a rhombus shape and closely adhered onto the inclined surface tapered to a "V" shape of the through hole(420), and a disc shaped catching part is adhered onto the cylindrical lower part; and a plurality of rings which are inserted into the outer circumference of the dies(400) so as to connect the dies(400) divided into two in a length direction.
