The device (1) is comprised of a tubular body (2) subdivided into two chambers by a longitudinal wall (3). The lower longitudinal chamber (4) is filled with water and the upper chamber (5) is filled with air. Eyelets (6) are provided for the attachement of ropes. The rigidity of the device is essentially influenced by the pressure prevailing in one of the two chambers (4, 5).
