A chimney cowl used to control the draft in a chimney, in particular a brick chimney, having a first deflector which has a central opening the adjacent surfaces being inclined downwards and having a second, completely closed deflector (2) fixedly and concentrally arranged above said first deflector (1), characterised in that said completely closed second deflector (2) has a convex downwardly inclined form, carrying at its underside a dish shaped baffle (10) of a diameter smaller than said second deflector, so that the annular area (14) constituted by the outer area of said baffle and the outer area of said second deflector has a dome shaped cross section. |
