PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication method which enables the execution of the authentication process for a contents providing server separately and independently of the server without the need of the information management about users on the server side. SOLUTION: The method of authenticating a user to be furnished with contents by a contents provider comprises a receiving procedure for receiving authentication request information including a contents identifier of provided contents from the contents provider via a terminal of the user, an authentication procedure for authenticating the user based on the authentication request information received by the receiving procedure, and an authentication result informing procedure for informing via the terminal the contents provider of authentication result information of the authentication result by the authentication procedure added to the authentication request information. |
