PURPOSE:To make an outboard motor fixation device in a small weight by providing possibility of engagement of the detect part formed at the front of a top coul with the detect formed at the front of bottom coul. CONSTITUTION:According to this arrangement, a hook 18 fixed to the top coul 13, at its front surface protruding backward, can be put in engagement with a detect part 12 fixed to the bottom coul 11 at its front surface protruding forward. A detent lever 24 supported at the rear surface of the bottom coul 11 rotatably is so arranged as to be put in engagement with this hook 18, which is so fixed at the rear surface of the top coul 13 as to form a detection space enclosing at least the part ahead. Accordingly the fixing construction for the top coul to the bottom coul 11 can be made light in weight as well as slip-off of the top coul likely when a floating log collides with the body of the outboard motor, prevented certainly. |
