PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new compound having a more enhanced antitumor action. SOLUTION: This 1,8-naphthyridine derivative is represented by general formula (I) (R1 is a hydrogen atom, an acyl group or a lower alkyl which may be substituted; R2 and R3 are the same or different and are each a halogen atom, a lower alkyl which may be substituted, a phenyl group or a halogen atom; n is 0, 1 or 2; Y is an eliminable group L or a group represented the following formula (Y') (R4 is a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl; Z is a hydrogen atom or an amino-protecting group; R5 is a hydrogen atom or a lower alkoxy group) and its salt.
