PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder having a radio communication interface which can adopt an antenna arrangement whereby a full transmission/reception gain without a dead angle can be obtained without being set by a user. SOLUTION: A part of an enclosure of a body upper face of the recorder 1 is made an openable cover. When the recorder is to operate (is to be used), the part of the enclosure is opened to become a paper feed tray 2 where a recording paper sheet is loaded or recording paper sheets are placed overlapping. The recorder 1 has a linear antenna 3 preferable to transmit/receive waves of an ultra short wave frequency band. The antenna 3 is arranged to have its longitudinal direction aligned with (in other words, parallel to) an edge of an end part of the cover doubling as the paper feed tray 2 at the right side seen from a front face of the recorder 1.
