PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polylactic acid film, which develops no trouble at discard and which is suitable for a heat-sensitive transfer ribbon and has an excellent image quality. SOLUTION: This polylactic acid film for the heat-sensitive transfer ribbon is a biaxially oriented film mainly constituting of a polylactic acid under the conditions that the thickness of the film is 0.5 to 10 μm, the breadthwise thermal shrinkage factor at 100 deg.C is 0 to 10% and the breadthwise tensile modulus is 2.5 to 8 GPa. |
