PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a drift in an ion electrode as well as to stabilize the life of the ion electrode and to stably maintain the electrode for a long period of time by allowing 6 to 8C straight chain alkyl alcohol to exist at a specific quantity in a part or the whole of a standard soln., reference soln. and liquid to be inspected. CONSTITUTION:An ion sensitive film of an org. system is used as the ion electrode and a calibration curve is previously formed in accordance with the electrical fluctuation between the reference soln. and the standard soln. of a known ion concn. The electrical fluctuation between the reference soln. and the soln. to be inspected is then measured. The 6 to 8C straight chain alkyl alcohol is made to exist at >=0.01wt.% and in the range of the saturation solubility under the measuring conditions into a part or the whole of the reference soln., the standard soln, and the liquid to be inspected at the time of measuring the ion concn. in the liquid to be inspected by comparing the above-mentioned electrical fluctuation with the calibration curve. |
