The control mechanism of the movable part of the contact measuring system of the monitoring meter is used for controlling the system in small and also great measuring range, while keeping the same measuring conditions. The movable part (14) of the measuring system is suspended on the string (1) by means of the roller (2) with winding-up on the coil (3). The pressure spring (6) and the dog (4) lock the height of the measuring system. The roller (2) is rotationally attached to the longer arm of the two-armed lever (8). The draw spring (9) is attached to the second, shorter arm, and it balances the weight of the suspended system. The height can be adjusted by pushing away the controller and rotating it slightly. The non-working electromagnet (10) with the extended core (16) is in contact with the two-armed lever (8) in its upper position. The bottom position of the lever (8) with the roller (2) indicates the size of height adjustment of the movable part (14) of the measuring system in the small range.<IMAGE>
