PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil-impregnated sintered bearing capable of reliably maintaining an oil film formed on a sliding surface, and a manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: A bearing hole 4 with a rotary shaft passed therethrough is formed in a bearing body 3 formed of a porous sintered alloy including pores inside thereof, and the sliding surface 5 with open pores on an inner circumferential surface 2 squeezed is provided on a part of an area of the inner circumferential surface 2 of the bearing hole 4 to form the oil-impregnated sintered bearing 1. The density of a hydraulic pressure maintaining part 6 extending outwardly in the radial direction from the sliding surface 5 of the bearing body 3 is set to be higher than the density of other parts of the bearing body 3.
