PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an integrated optical semiconductor device which restrains reflected light from a wire connected to a semiconductor laser element from becoming stray light as noise light with reference to signal light so as not to be incident on a multisegment light receiving region. SOLUTION: The integrated optical semiconductor device is provided with the semiconductor laser element 1 and a light receiving element 4. The wire 8 connected to the element 1 is formed in a light shielding region 13 which is formed automatically by the element 1. Alternatively, the wire 8 is stretched to a direction nearly perpendicular to the direction of outgoing light from the element 1. In this manner, by a simple method in which the position of the wire or the stretching direction of the wire is controlled, the stray light due to the reflected light from the wire can be reduced, and the manufacturing effect of the semiconductor device is increased. |
