Top wire device intended to co-operate with a wire machine, including a movable wire intended to receive and forward a pulp or stock material web to be formed and de-watered during the passage of the wire and including de-watering means and a top wire forming device and arranged above the web carrying movable wire. The new invention is characterized by at least two rolls (10 and 11) carrying and guiding an endless permeable wire loop (4) one portion of which is arranged to be essentially parallel with the web carrying wire (1) and to engage the upwardly facing surface of such web for forming same, the roll (19) being the first to meet the moving web having a perforated like mantle or casing allowing water to escape therethrough, at least two vacuum boxes (23, 24) arranged below the web carrying wire (1) adjacent the two rolls (19, 11) and one vacuum device (25) arranged between said rolls above the said parallel portion to draw water away upwardly from the web (1). |
