PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system capable of preventing the drop of its cell voltage by preventing incomplete combustion of a fuel gas in a combustor caused by the reduction of the quantity of the air exhausted from a fuel cell and thereby preventing a harmful substance from being included in the exhaust gas and by allowing sure drainage of produced water from the fuel cell. SOLUTION: A flow regulation means 8 is installed in the upstream of the fuel cell 1 and in the downstream of an air compressor 4 in an air feeding line of this fuel cell system FCS. A control unit CU is connected to the flow regulation means 8 and when the output current of the fuel cell 1 reduces, the control unit CU increases the opening of the flow regulation means 8 once and thus increases the feeding quantity of the air to the fuel cell 1 for a certain period. Thereafter, the control unit gradually reduces the opening of the flow regulation means 8 and thus gradually reduces the feeding quantity of the air to the fuel cell 1. |
